Relationships can be hard work. Maintaining and growing a romantic relationship, a partnership can be even more of a challenge. Similar to a car, relational partnerships require regular maintenance to keep them running well. If there is a problem, it’s best to have it repaired right away to avoid further complications down the road.

Often we can do some of the basic maintenance and repairs ourselves. Other times, Couples Counselling and the help of a registered professional may be the best route for the relationship. This type of relationship counseling is emotionally focused on improving relationship satisfaction and conflict resolution between a couple within a relationship.

There may be many reasons why you are seeking Couples and Relationship Counselling. My aim is to provide a safe and confidential space in which we can work together on issues that matter to you while meeting your needs as an individual and as a couple. I will not tell you what to do. I will not give you the answers; instead, I will facilitate change, help guide you, and be a mirror so to help you bring about resolution by helping communication between you both so as to understand the unlaying cause/s and discover potential resolution/s to your issues.

With some clients, in some circumstances, it’s sometimes beneficial for each person to have individual sessions. Maybe to bring thoughts or feelings that you don’t feel ready or able to speak about with your partner. Through this approach, we are able, together, to help build bridges of communication, and increased understanding of each other with increasing empathy and compassion when we bring such topics back into the group session; all in your time and at your pace.

The ultimate goal for me as a therapist and Therapeutic Coach, is to help my clients build and maintain healthy relationships, and solve present issues while assisting you to grow in your own resilience and increasing your ability to address and find resolutions in collaborative partnerships. To see a healthy and strong relationship evolve from the therapy sessions.

Either way, it would be a pleasure to hear from you.
